In a recent ruling, the Ogun State Football Association has handed down a two year suspension to two men for their actions against referees at a local match. The offenders, known as JAMAK and Gbeke, faced stern rebukes for their role in the melee following a Nigeria National League game, which ended without any goals at Abeokuta’s MKO Abiola Stadium.

He outlined that the attack was spearheaded by Gbeke with JAMAK’s involvement worsening the event, prompting immediate police attention.

With the safety of participants in jeopardy, swift action from onsite security personnel curbed further disturbances, leading to Gbeke’s arrest while JAMAK remains at large. Both have also been barred from football events statewide, stressing the association’s zero tolerance stance on such disruptions.
