Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke with him about his role in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) group and the methods which he makes a difference at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your group. A. We own 9 backend search services that are core to the company's success. Among the most crucial is the Search API, which powers results on the Search results page page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work closely with the Artificial intelligence team to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search relevancy enhancements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly team that focuses on strong onboarding and continuous support. New group members are directed through the ramp-up process up until they're confident taking complete ownership of their work. Each employee is practical to other group members when facing obstacles. We value a culture where wins are popular honestly, and obstacles are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person get-togethers, to keep camaraderie strong. Q. What's your biggest achievement so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy of the professional development I've accomplished considering that signing up with Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years back. Throughout this journey, I've established deep domain competence, stayed current with developing industry practices, and regularly worked with modern-day innovations. My commitment to constant knowing and effect caused my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my function as one of the team's technical leads. Most recently, I have actually taken on the obligation of being the People Leader for the team-an interesting next action that permits me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical direction. I take pride in the reality that my long tenure here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to evolve technically and take on higher management Q. What should somebody wanting to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com offers exciting technical difficulties, from massive data managing to real-time search, customization, and AI/ML combination. My group culture is extremely collaborative, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, understanding sharing, and cross-functional team effort. #Engineers often get possibilities to own important and difficult jobs, work cross-functionally, and step up into leadership or specialized roles.
